Advising Model

We are here to assist you in accomplishing your goals! We provide support to students in the Nursing program at Iowa State by utilizing a Collaborative Advising Model. Each student in the RN-to-BSN program is assigned both a faculty advisor and a professional advisor.

Campus Student Resources

All nursing courses are delivered through the Canvas learning platform.

Each nursing Canvas course includes a Module 0, where you'll find a comprehensive list of the most utilized campus resources for nursing students.

Graduation Resources

In order to receive your degree, you must apply for graduation regardless if you will attend a graduation ceremony or not.

Applying for graduation is not an application to participate in a ceremony.

RN-to-BSN students have the option to attend University Commencement, College Convocation, and a Nurse Pinning Ceremony. Graduates may choose to participate in one, two, three, or none of these events!

Students who graduate during the summer session may choose to walk in the Spring commencement, convocation ceremony, and pinning ceremony if desired.

Requirements to graduate with distinction can be found HERE

As long as you meet the requirements, you can stop by the Graduation office (214 Enrollment Services Center) and they can distribute the cords to you!
