Mission 

The mission of the University is to create, share, and apply knowledge to make Iowa and the world a better place.  

The mission of the Iowa State University Nursing Program is to enhance human health and quality of life through excellence in nursing education, evidence-based practice, and collaboration within healthcare disciplines. The program advances the profession of nursing and serves as an advocate for optimal health care and wellness for all people. 

Vision 

Iowa State University will advance the land grant ideals of putting science, technology, and human creativity to work.  

The vision of the Iowa State University Nursing Program is to improve the health of local and global populations through a learner-centered academic program that advances the practice of nurses within the profession and the healthcare community.
