A-BSN Clinical Experiences
Clinical education is central to the A-BSN program. You will apply classroom learning in a variety of healthcare settings under the guidance of experienced faculty and clinical partners, building confidence and competence as you develop into a professional nurse.
Overview of Clinical Learning
Throughout the program, you will move through a sequence of clinical and simulation experiences that build from fundamental skills to complex patient care. Clinical rotations will take place in local hospitals and community‑based agencies, where you will work with diverse patient populations and interprofessional care teams. Clinical hours are integrated throughout the accelerated curriculum so that coursework, labs, simulations, and direct patient care reinforce one another.
Learning Emphasis
Across all experiences, you will strengthen your clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills while providing safe, patient‑ and family‑centered care. High‑fidelity simulation, skills labs, and other active learning strategies complement your clinical rotations and give you structured opportunities to practice decision‑making before managing complex situations in practice.
The curriculum includes more than 600 hours of experiential learning through innovative immersive clinical and simulation activities. Each experience is designed to build and scaffold your knowledge, preparing you to enter today's dynamic healthcare environment as a practice-ready registered nurse.
