U.S. citizens or permanent residents who were trained internationally and hold an RN license in the State of Iowa or a compact state are welcome to apply to the RN-to-BSN program. All admissions criteria and pre-requisites must be met to be considered for admission.
Information about obtaining an RN license in Iowa for Foreign Educated Nurses, is provided by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
The RN-to-BSN program is not currently approved for students holding F-1 or J-1 visas. International students who hold other statuses are encouraged to contact International Students and Scholars at Iowa State University (ISSO) to confirm eligibility.
