Graduation Resources

In order to receive your degree, you must apply for graduation regardless if you will attend a graduation ceremony or not.

Applying for graduation is not an application to participate in a ceremony.

Students have the option to attend University Commencement, College Convocation, and a Nurse Pinning Ceremony. Graduates may choose to participate in one, two, three, or none of these events!

Students who graduate during the summer session may choose to walk in the Spring commencement, convocation, and pinning ceremonies if desired.

Students who meet the university requirements to graduate with distinction may be eligible to wear distinction cords at commencement. You can review the current criteria on the Undergraduate Graduation Checklist HERE

For distinction cord eligibility details, information can be found on the ISU Courses and Programs website under "Graduation with Distinction."

If you are eligible, an email will be sent to you when distinction cords are available for pickup.
