Attention Kirkwood Nursing Transfer Students!
Planning to transfer to Iowa State’s RN-to-BSN program in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences* for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 academic year? You may be eligible for the Leonard and Evelyn Dolezal Scholarship, which awards approximately $6,000 toward tuition.
Eligibility: Students transferring from Kirkwood or residing in Linn, Clayton, Fayette, or Johnson counties.
To be considered:
- Apply for admission to the RN-to-BSN Program at ISU. Select the major within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.*
- Apply for scholarships through OneApp by the stated deadlines
- Accept the scholarship including post-acceptance steps.
- Complete the college specific requirements. Additional courses* may be required to be eligible for the scholarship.
- Complete your BSN at ISU! Join the growing number of Cyclone nurses!
*Note: RN-to-BSN students may choose to follow the requirements of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences OR the College of Health and Human Sciences. Students in the College of Health and Human Sciences are qualified for different scholarships. Each college has different general education requirements. Visit with the nursing advisor for details. The RN-to-BSN program coursework is the same regardless of college designation.
